LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Tax Manager for a Chicago real estate investment and operating company. You will lead federal, state, and local tax work, oversee partnership tax compliance, and mentor a small team within a growth-focused operation.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical work, collaboration with finance leaders, and driving process improvements in a sophisticated tax function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• 6+ years of tax experience with emphasis on partnership taxation.
• Strong 1065 compliance experience and staff mentoring ability.
• Experience reviewing complex partnership structures and allocations.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Review partnership returns, workpapers, and K-1 reporting.
• Analyze partnership transactions and allocations.
• Support tax planning, research, and related projects.
• Manage tax deadlines and filing calendars.
• Review documents for tax implications of reorganizations and acquisitions.
• Assist with tax audits and responses to authorities.
• Drive process improvements and tax technology initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor a small tax team.
