Job summary

LaSalle Network, a downtown Chicago real estate-focused organization, is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead partnership tax, oversee compliance, and guide a tax team. This role blends technical tax expertise with strategic leadership and process improvements.

You will manage complex returns, tax projections, and ASC 740, while mentoring staff and partnering with leadership to reach department goals. Hybrid work and a strong bonus program are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive tax experience with significant partnership taxation exposure.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience leading and developing staff.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and partnership taxation.
• Advanced Excel and database proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review and filing of complex partnership, corporate, federal, state and local tax returns.
• Manage tax compliance calendars and filing deadlines.
• Oversee tax projections, forecasts and budgeting activities.
• Monitor entity formations, acquisitions, mergers and dissolutions to ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions.
• Research tax law changes and communicate impacts to leadership.
• Support tax audits and coordinate with external advisors and counsel.
• Assist with ASC 740 compliance activities as needed.

This Senior Tax Manager will play a critical role in overseeing partnership tax compliance, driving process improvements, leading tax planning initiatives and developing a high-performing team.
