Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Progressive public‑accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and planning.
• Experience with partnerships, S corp, C corp and individual returns.
• Experience serving closely held or owner‑operated businesses.
• Proven client‑relationship management capabilities.
• Previous staff supervision or leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, judgment and executive presence.
• Current Capital Region residency or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses, owners and high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Oversee federal and state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax planning opportunities and business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise and develop Albany‑area staff.
• Coordinate client work and resources across offices.
• Help strengthen longstanding client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
• Support accounting, bookkeeping, or advisory engagements as needed.
• Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.
• Participate in office growth and strategic direction.
