6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced Tax Manager / Senior Manager in Latham, NY to lead tax engagements for a regional client portfolio. You will oversee federal and state filings, mentor staff, and drive high-quality advisory services for owners and high-net-worth individuals.

Candidates with CPA credentials and progressive public-accounting experience are preferred. This role offers a direct-hire path with relocation support and growth toward principal leadership within a respected

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Active CPA license strongly preferred.
• Progressive public-accounting experience.
• Strong tax compliance and planning knowledge.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.

Responsabilidades

• Manage relationships with closely held businesses, business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
• Oversee federal and state tax compliance, planning and advisory engagements.
• Review returns for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations and individuals.
• Advise clients on tax-planning opportunities and broader business matters.
• Manage engagement timelines, workflow, budgets and client expectations.
• Supervise, coach and develop Albany-area employees.
• Coordinate client work and technical resources across multiple offices.
• Help transition and strengthen longstanding client relationships.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
• Support selected accounting, bookkeeping, review and advisory engagements as appropriate.
• Build relationships within the Capital Region business community.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business.
• Participate in the office’s long-term growth and strategic direction.
