Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's or advanced degree desirable.
• CPA or EA required.
• Eight (8)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
• Five (5)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
• Experience in corporate income tax with strong ASC 740 knowledge.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and a sense of urgency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team, providing tax compliance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters with various clients from middle market to multinational.
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC 740.
• Research tax matters, respond to IRS inquiries, and provide client recommendations.
• Coordinate with specialty tax practices on state/local, international, credits and incentives areas.
• Manage engagement staffing, billing/collections, and ensure profitability targets.
• Network to develop client relationships and opportunities for new projects and revenue.
• Invest in professional development through firm-wide programs and leadership initiatives.
• Support growth and development of team members through mentoring and the firm's culture.
