Job summary

LattaHarris is seeking a Tax Supervisor who excels in client advisory, tax compliance, and leading a tax team. You will oversee complex tax returns and financial statements, provide planning guidance, and coach junior staff.

This role emphasizes both technical excellence and leadership within the firm. You will build strong client relationships, navigate IRS matters when needed, and contribute to firm growth and thought leadership across Iowa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or EA designation (or ability to gain within the first year).
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience with a focus on taxation.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, planning, and accounting principles.
• Experience reviewing work prepared by others.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of clients and serve as the primary advisor.
• Oversee preparation and review of tax returns and financial statements.
• Provide tax planning, consulting, and advisory services to clients.
• Mentor and develop team members; provide timely feedback and coaching.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and business development activities.
