LattaHarris, LLP seeks a Tax Manager to lead a Des Moines portfolio of business and individual clients, overseeing complex tax engagements and planning strategies. You will mentor Supervisors, Staff Accountants, and Interns while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

The ideal candidate has CPA, 5+ years in public accounting tax roles, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive service quality and firm growth in Iowa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience with significant tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance and planning.
• Experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing client engagements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead advisor for a portfolio of business and individual clients.
• Review complex tax returns, tax projections, and planning strategies.
• Oversee client engagements, ensuring quality and service.
• Mentor Supervisors, Staff Accountants, and Interns.
• Meet with clients for tax planning and consulting.
• Analyze IRS and other tax authority notices.
• Assist with business development and recruiting initiatives.
• Support firm initiatives and team development.
