DePuy Synthes, a global orthopaedics leader and part of Johnson & Johnson, seeks a Senior Tax Counsel to lead the Tax Counsel group in New Brunswick, NJ. You will report to the Global Head of Tax and guide cross-border and domestic tax strategies during the planned separation from Johnson & Johnson into a standalone orthopaedics company.

Qualifications

• JD required, LLM in Taxation preferred
• Current Bar membership required
• At least 12 years of tax function experience in a multi-country environment
• Strong technical knowledge of international taxation, M&A, restructuring, and partnership taxation
• Experience with compensation and benefits tax issues
• Excellent business partnering, negotiation and communication skills

Responsabilités

• Lead the Tax Counsel group and oversee a paralegal
• Set strategies for cross-border and domestic transactions, restructurings, and internal planning
• Provide deal modeling guidance and oversee entity rationalization
• Deliver training on M&A and tax topics to tax and business partners
• Provide high-level technical tax and legal advice on employee compensation and benefits plans
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and manage risk
• Drive acquisition integration and strategic tax initiatives
• Contribute to external policy discussions and industry groups
