Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes Global Tax Group seeks a Senior Tax Counsel to lead the Tax Counsel team. Based in New Brunswick, NJ, you will report to the Global Head of Tax and shape global tax strategy for cross-border and domestic operations.

The role includes managing a paralegal, guiding acquisitions and restructurings, advising on compensation and benefits taxes, and collaborating with Treasury on repatriation and policy matters, with a focus on innovative, compliant tax solutions.

Qualifications

• JD required; LLM in Taxation preferred.
• Current Bar membership required.
• 12+ years of international tax experience across multi-country operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of international taxation (incl. Subpart F and TCJA), M&A, restructuring, and partnership taxation.
• Exposure to compensation and benefits tax issues.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and business partnering skills.
• Ability to develop talent and lead enterprise-wide teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Tax Counsel Group, setting strategy and deal modeling guidance.
• Oversee one paralegal and cross-border and domestic transaction work.
• Provide high-level technical tax and legal advice to management on compensation and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with employee compensation and benefits laws.
• Lead repatriation planning with DS Treasury and advise on supply chain tax planning.
• Represent DS in external tax policy discussions and industry groups.
• Develop acquisition integration strategies.
