Job summary

Hunt Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to prepare and review stand-alone business tax returns, as well as individual returns and tax research. The role requires handling complex tax projects with advanced research skills and tax software proficiency, under supervision as needed.

You will contribute to month-end closings, maintain schedules, and ensure compliance with company policies. Collaboration with management and other departments is essential in a fast-paced, high-volume

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Tax, Finance or Accounting required.
• Minimum 3 years of tax preparation experience.
• Experience with tax research databases and JD Edwards-Enterprise One preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review stand-alone and business tax returns.
• Perform tax research and address payroll and sales tax issues.
• Lead project work and coordinate with supervisors on assignments.
• Prepare trial balances, journal entries, and tax accruals.
• Assist with month-end closings and maintain records.
• Communicate with colleagues and vendors to obtain information.
