S+H Search is seeking a Tax Senior to join a growing public accounting team. This role focuses on complex tax engagements, building client relationships, and advancing toward the next career step.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of public accounting experience, strong tax knowledge, and CPA considerations; charging approximately 1,700 hours annually. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of public accounting experience.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and GAAP.
• CPA license preferred; candidates actively pursuing the CPA with 150 credit hours are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication, organization, and client-service skills.
• Annual chargeable-hours expectation of approximately 1,700.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Assist with tax projections, accruals, and supporting workpapers.
• Research tax issues and stay current on relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Respond to IRS and state notices and assist with audits.
• Communicate directly with clients to address tax-related questions and provide guidance.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Coordinate with partners and other service team members to ensure quality client service.
