Qualifications

• 4-Year Degree, license eligible required.
• JD/LL.M. (Taxation), CPA, EA, or combination preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in corporate tax, partnership tax, M&A tax, or related technical tax specialty.
• Demonstrated ability researching and analyzing complex federal income tax issues.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience drafting memoranda and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical memoranda, tax analyses, opinion support, and other written work addressing complex tax issues.
• Research federal and state tax issues and advise engagement teams and clients.
• Assist with tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters and IRS negotiations.
• Assist with tax analysis of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, financings, and internal reorganizations.
• Contribute to development of Baker Tilly's tax opinions and consulting practice.
• Develop internal and external thought leadership, articles, presentations, and training materials.
• Collaborate with teams across corporate, partnership, and controversy practices.
