Qualifications

• 4-Year Degree, License eligible required.
• JD, LL.M. (Taxation), CPA, EA, or combination preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate tax, partnership tax, M&A tax, tax controversy, or related.
• Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing complex federal income tax issues.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting memoranda and tax analyses.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
• Commitment to technical excellence and client service, with interest in specialized tax expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical memoranda, tax analyses, and opinion support addressing complex tax issues.
• Research federal income tax issues and provide technical advice to teams and clients.
• Assist with tax advocacy and controversy services, IRS notices, and negotiations.
• Analyze taxes related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and financings.
• Contribute to development of Baker Tilly's tax opinions and consulting practice.
• Support internal and external thought leadership through articles, webinars, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across corporate, partnership, and controversy practices.
