Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs while receiving advanced tax training.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare tax returns, and help grow the franchise's client base through additional products and services. This role requires strong communication and IRS/state compliance knowledge, with mentorship responsibilities for teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• CPA or EA certification adds strong eligibility.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• Must have 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and via virtual tools: video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support, including audit representation where applicable.
• Mentor and support teammates.
