Job summary

H&R Block seeks a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will conduct interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS support with the backing of a dedicated team.

This role requires advanced tax training, ability to work with virtual tools, and a focus on growing client relationships. Franchised office environment with franchisee-led hiring decisions.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (notice services where applicable).
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Experience with virtual tools (video, phone, chat) and strong communication.
• Complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients in-person or via virtual tools.
• Prepare and review accurate federal/state tax returns.
• Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and offer additional services.
• Provide IRS support and, where certified, audit representation.
• Mentor teammates and support franchise staff.
