Job summary

Blue & Co., LLC, a Lexington-based accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Senior to lead tax engagements and develop relationships with clients, peers, and directors. You will mentor staff and expand supervisory skills while delivering high-quality service.

The ideal candidate has CPA status or is pursuing certification, 3–6 years of public accounting tax experience, and a strong client-service mindset. Travel is mostly day trips with minimal overnight stays.

Qualifications

• CPA certification or actively pursuing certification.
• 3–6 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee engagements and supervise staff.
• Ability to travel to client locations, mostly day trips.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and manage all aspects of tax engagements.
• Prepare business and individual tax returns.
• Perform field work to include the preparation of complex work papers and supervise Staff Accountants.
• Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to enhance service delivery.
• Training and mentoring Staff Accountants.
• Continually learn and become a subject matter expert in your areas of interest.
