Job summary

Blue & Co., LLC is seeking a Senior Associate in our Detroit office to lead tax engagements and develop client relationships. The role focuses on planning, supervision, and mentoring staff accountants while delivering high-quality tax services.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of tax experience in public accounting, with CPA certification or active pursuit of certification, and strong communication and client-service skills. Travel to client locations is expected.

Qualifications

• CPA certification or eligibility required; actively pursuing certification is acceptable.
• 3–6 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
• Proven financial, analytical, technical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent client service and willingness to develop business development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage engagements and supervise staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to travel for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and manage all aspects of tax engagements.
• Prepare business and individual tax returns.
• Perform field work and supervise staff accountants in work-paper preparation.
• Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to enhance service delivery.
• Provide training and mentoring to Staff Accountants.
• Continuously learn and become a subject-matter expert in areas of interest.
