Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor (Tax Advisor) to help clients navigate complex tax and business services with confidence.

You’ll prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology; this in-person role is at a local Block Advisors office. You’ll interview clients, handle diverse tax situations including individual and business returns, provide clear recommendations, and support clients year-round

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• CPA or EA or similar credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications — then provide clear, personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products and services.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
