Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor.

This in-person role at a local Block Advisors office helps clients navigate complex tax and business services, preparing accurate returns, uncovering savings opportunities, and building lasting relationships with clients. You will conduct in-depth client interviews, provide personalized recommendations, deliver tax notices support, and collaborate with the team to enhance client service using leading training and technology.

Qualifications

• Experience in tax preparation or accounting with client-facing responsibilities.
• Ability to explain complex tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for diverse and complex situations (individual & business).
• Conduct client interviews to assess financial situations and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote Block Advisors products/services.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance when needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
