Job summary

H&R Block in Cincinnati is seeking a year-round Block Advisor (Tax Advisor) to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews, and deliver personalized recommendations in a trusted, client-focused office environment.

You will build year-round relationships, provide IRS support and audit guidance, and collaborate with team members while leveraging industry-leading training and technology, with an hourly pay rate and incentive plan that

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including audit support and tax notice resolution.
Experience working in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
Identify tax savings opportunities and advise on Block Advisors products and services.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients.
