Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses and deliver personalized recommendations.

You will interview clients to understand financial situations, provide tax-saving opportunities, and guide clients through IRS notices or audits with support from our training and technology. This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns.
• Strong client communication and advisory skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant Block Advisors products and services.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
