H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to join a local office in New York. You will prepare complete, accurate returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews, and offer personalized tax strategies that save clients money and build trust.

In this role you’ll provide IRS support, assist with notices, and guide clients through complex tax issues, while collaborating with teammates to ensure a positive, service-focused environment and ongoing development in tax

Qualifikationen

• Must have tax preparation experience for individuals and businesses.
• Experience preparing complex returns and handling tax notices or audits.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients in plain language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles is preferred.

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications — then provide clear, personalized recommendations
• Build trusted, year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
