Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate returns for individual and business clients, uncover tax savings opportunities, and build lasting client relationships using leading training and technology.

This in-person role focuses on client interviews, clear explanation of tax concepts, IRS support, and teamwork to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Experience in tax preparation or related fields; advisory or client-facing roles preferred.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and related Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notices assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
