Senior TAR Planner — Turnaround Master Planning

Job summary

NextDecade seeks an experienced Sr. Planner TAR to develop, assemble, and quality-check TAR work packages for LNG/oil & gas projects. You will ensure detailed job steps, materials, tools, permits, and safety considerations are embedded for execution readiness.

You will coordinate with Mechanical, E&I, and Process teams, create SAP work orders, and track material availability while maintaining the TAR scope register and document attachments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in turnaround planning/scheduling in LNG, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.
• Experience developing TAR work packages from scope to locked, execution-ready status.
• Experience with STO work package management systems (Prometheus STO or equivalent).
• Strong CMMS knowledge (SAP or similar) and ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&ID, ISO, GA).
• Knowledge of scope management processes (freeze, SCR workflows) and material procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed TAR work packages with steps, materials, tools, permits, and safety considerations.
• Create SAP work orders and sync activities with STO Module via live API.
• Plan materials (BOM) and track material availability via STO MAC module.
• Attach drawings, procedures, method statements, and permits to each work pack.
• Lock and approve work packs; manage QA/QC hold points and HSSE documentation.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, E&I, and Process leads to validate durations and resources.
• Support phase 7 closeout by compiling lessons learned and archived packs.
