Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking a Senior Director of Talent Management and Development to lead enterprise learning, performance, and workforce development initiatives. You will drive integration of performance data into development strategies, oversee leadership programs, and align training with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience including supervision or team leadership.
• Five years of combined employee engagement and talent management/strategy experience.
• Experience with multiple areas listed: strategic planning, change management, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, data analysis, continuous improvement, and learning & development.

Responsibilities

• Lead talent management, learning, leadership development, and workforce development strategies.
• Drive performance data integration, insights, and development needs across the organization.
• Oversee executive coaching, learning evaluation, and retention initiatives.
• Coordinate with DHS leadership and internal HR teams to share best practices statewide.
• Manage staff, onboarding, coaching, and retention of engaged employees.
• Oversee division budgeting and contract resources while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
