Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Staff Recruiter to own searches that decide whether we succeed, from senior engineers to field superintendents. You’ll partner with vice presidents and hiring managers to define roles, leveling, and requisitions before openings, and build sourcing strategies that win construction and engineering talent in Reno and surrounding markets.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle recruiting experience in construction, engineering, energy, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
• Experience recruiting for EPC projects or utility-scale infrastructure.
• Track record of closing difficult searches and hiring for roles never hired before.
• Experience securing skilled construction trades in a tight regional labor market.
• Ability to explain compensation decisions with data and to adjust with market signals.
• Onsite work in Northern Nevada and travel to project sites as needed.
• Familiarity with Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking system.

Responsibilities

• Own searches for senior, niche, and first-of-kind roles across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), design engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, BESS compliance, and EHSS.
• Partner with vice presidents and hiring managers to define roles, organizational structures, and leveling before requisitions open.
• Build sourcing strategies to win construction and engineering talent in Reno and Sparks markets.
• Shape and reshape recruiting strategy based on evidence and market demand.
• Carry searches that enable real outcomes where a certification or startup milestone depends on the hire.
• Run a clean, standard process from intake through offer, ensuring a consistent candidate experience.
• Coordinate with the embedded team covering high-volume operations hiring.
