Job summary

Redwood is actively recruiting for senior roles across engineering, procurement, and construction, including BESS and heavy industry projects, with a focus on Reno/Sparks.

The recruiter will partner with VPs and hiring managers to define roles, build sourcing strategies, and close searches that others cannot. Onsite work in Northern Nevada and travel to project sites are required, with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle recruiting experience in heavy industry (construction/engineering/energy).
• Experience recruiting for EPC, BESS, or utility-scale infra.
• Track record closing difficult searches, including niche roles.
• Experience winning skilled construction trades in tight markets.
• Ability to explain leveling/comp decisions with data to execs.
• Judgment to prioritize heavy search load and communicate tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with Greenhouse or similar ATS.

Responsibilities

• Own senior, niche, and first-of-their-kind searches across EPC, design, and BESS roles.
• Partner with VP-level hiring managers to define roles and leveling before requisitions open.
• Build sourcing strategies for Reno/Sparks construction and engineering talent.
• Shape recruiting strategy based on data and market evidence.
• Manage searches dependent on milestones like facility startups or certifications.
• Run a clean, standardized process from intake to offer for a consistent candidate experience.
• Coordinate with high-volume ops hiring to align recruiting functions.
