Redwood Materials, Inc. is seeking a full-time Staff Design Manager to lead design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development. This role involves managing multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with Process Engineering, Construction, and Production teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management, with at least 10 years of experience. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.
Designing & building infrastructure, at record speed, is key to enabling us to scale worldwide. We are looking for a highly motivated Design Manager to join our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team.
In this role, you will own and drive design and engineering efforts for construction and infrastructure development from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction, manufacturing, and/or project management.
This role requires a highly organized mindset, a passion for driving multi-disciplinary projects, and an ability to pull people together to make things happen. You must be detail oriented, question requirements, identify real barriers, and drive cross-functional teams to execute quickly at high quality. You will drive collaboration between Process Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Production to ensure alignment with company priorities. You will translate scattered information into concise, complete documentation and communicate it to every team member.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
