Job summary

Goyette Mechanical in Ohio is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Construction) to lead full-cycle recruiting across multiple locations. You will partner with executives and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop sourcing strategies, and hire top talent for project management, operations, and construction leadership roles.

You will build proactive pipelines, leverage ATS and recruiting tech, and represent the company through industry networking to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years recruiting experience in a technical setting; construction/engineering preferred.
• Experience building and managing talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational growth initiatives, and strategic hiring decisions.
• Proficiency with ATS, recruiting technology, and sourcing candidates through multiple recruiting platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction industry roles, talent markets, and hiring practices.

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Construction) Position

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading and executing full-cycle recruiting efforts to attract, engage, and hire top talent aligned with the company’s growth objectives across multiple locations. Partnering closely with executive leadership and hiring managers, this position will understand workforce needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and identify qualified candidates across project management, operations, and construction leadership functions. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a strategic recruiting partner by providing market insights, supporting workforce planning initiatives, and delivering a strong candidate experience that reflects the company’s values and employment brand.

This position develops proactive sourcing strategies to identify active and passive talent, build sustainable pipelines, and establish relationships within the construction industry. This role manages recruiting processes, leverages technology and data to improve hiring outcomes, represents the company through industry networking and outreach efforts, and continuously enhances talent acquisition strategies to support business growth.

Location: We’re hiring one person for this position, that may be based in either of the following locations:

• Hilliard, Ohio
• Genesee County, Michigan

This role will primarily work in an office-based environment, with periodic visits to other office locations and occasional out-of-state travel as needed.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Construction) Position

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years previous recruiting experience in a technical setting required; construction, engineering, mechanical contracting, or project-based industry strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success building and managing talent pipelines for hard-to-fill positions, including project management, operations, and leadership roles
• Experience partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational growth initiatives, and strategic hiring decisions
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting technology, and sourcing candidates through multiple recruiting platforms
• Strong understanding of construction industry roles, talent markets, and hiring practices
