Job summary

Goyette Mechanical, a Flint-based mechanical contractor with 90+ years of experience, is seeking an HR Manager to lead the HR team and drive workforce programs across multiple states. You will oversee employee relations, open enrollment, leave management, recruiting, orientation, and HRIS administration while ensuring safety, quality, and a strong company culture.

The role partners with management to align HR initiatives with project needs and union requirements, empowering managers and staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in human resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Construction industry knowledge is preferred.
• Knowledge of union collective bargaining agreements required.
• Ability to engage with diverse employee groups.
• Experience with UKG Ready is preferred.
• Experience in multi-state, multi-location environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a five-person HR team and oversee daily HR operations.
• Oversee employee relations, open enrollment, and leave management.
• Coach managers and staff to improve performance and culture.
• Conduct HR audits and manage the HRIS system.
• Oversee recruiting and new-employee orientation.
