The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist implements the talent acquisition strategy as set by the organization, facilitating all key actions to generate qualified talent pools for the diversified positions within the company, including all corporate and manufacturing (DOT and non-DOT) staffing.
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will utilize existing sourcing methods and recommend and deploy alternative sourcing methods to attract qualified candidates to the business. He/She will also utilize various marketing tools and methods to best secure talent by utilizing business/industry networking, team member referral program and incentives, community and social venues, and internet and social media advertising.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
- Serves as a key contributor to facilitate all functions associated with the full-cycle recruitment process to include but not limited to job profile development, recruitment planning, position advertisement, identifying and screening qualified candidates, performing pre-screening and interviews, coordinating candidate on site visits and preparing offers and pre-employment testing.
- Develops company and position branding content for internal and external communication campaigns, career site, posting boards and other internet-based advertisement and social media outlets.
- Leads candidate sourcing and screening for key exempt level corporate roles.
- Utilizes and manages an applicant tracking system (ATS); provides user training when necessary; and generates reporting related to the talent acquisition process. Acts as subject matter expert as it relates to fundamental processing steps of the talent acquisition process and its tracking.
- Builds and sustains relationships with key stakeholders in need of talent acquisition services within the business; learns and applies knowledge of internal business functions and needs as required for specific departments and/or cross-functional teams.
- Supports all hiring efforts to maintain compliance with company policies and contract requirements and tracks, measures and reports on talent activity, providing information and assistance to internal and external job applicants and potential new hires.
- Represents the business at off-site recruitment events including job fairs, college/university recruitment events and other talent acquisition-related affairs
- Builds and expands candidate sourcing resources by researching and contacting community services, job agencies, colleges, staffing firms, recruiters, media, and internet sites and provides organization information, opportunities, and benefits and maintains rapport with key contacts.
- Regularly reports on the status of recruitment efforts to create visibility on talent acquisition activities.
- Works with internal communication resources to produce creative and artistic marketing campaigns to include internal and social media advertisement, newsletter articles, flyers, and other print materials.
- Measures and analyzes talent management trends and metrics, produces regular reporting and assessment, and develops solutions, programs and policies for any identified improvement opportunities.
- Measures the impact of talent acquisition activities on performance, efficiency, employee retention, and job satisfaction. Evaluates and develops reporting to ensure tracking of the right KPIs to drive improvements.
- Selects and manages internal or external resources in order to ensure cost-effective delivery of talent acquisition initiatives.
- Works closely with all areas of management to support talent acquisition initiatives and ensures consistency in strategic alignment.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

- Skill in planning, organizing and coordinating a wide variety of talent acquisition activities.
- Strong ability to analyze and assess organizational staffing needs and execute the plan to best support the business.
- Strong knowledge of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and internet sourcing tools including but not limited to Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn and other company branding and job posting forums to optimize candidate sourcing.
- Extensive experience with behavioral-based interviewing techniques.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative ability to work with internal/external candidates and diverse colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, maintain confidentiality and appropriate time sensitivity to tasks and convey expectations of status on a timely and consistent basis.
- Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- Possesses minimum 3 years of talent acquisition experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain environments.
- Experience managing external staffing vendors and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resource, organizational management, or organizational development or relevant discipline required.
We offer a competitive salary of $80k to 90k. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision. Eligibility in benefit plans begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Six (6) days of sick leave; two (2) weeks of vacation accrued throughout the year; nine (9) Company Paid Holidays and a 401K Plan with employer match.
