Appone in Austin, TX is seeking a senior recruiter to build our talent acquisition function from the ground up and personally source and close high-quality hires. This role goes beyond posting jobs, requiring you to create process, systems, and standards amid ambiguity.

You’ll wear both builder and doer hats, spending time sourcing, screening, and interviewing while establishing the infrastructure (ATS, interview process, scorecards, employer branding) to scale hiring sustainably.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience across roles, not limited to one function.
• Experience building or maturing recruiting functions at early-stage or fast-growing firms.
• Strong sourcing skills and ability to engage passive candidates.
• Proven track record closing candidates against competing offers.
• Ability to create process and standards with minimal existing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Build the recruiting function from the ground up and own full-cycle recruiting for priority roles.
• Select and implement an ATS and core recruiting tech stack.
• Design a structured interview process with scorecards and panels.
• Define leveling and hiring criteria with leadership.
• Create repeatable sourcing pipelines and channels.
• Lead offer design, negotiation, and closing processes; benchmark compensation.
• Establish employer branding and candidate experience standards.
• Set up hiring metrics and reporting for leadership visibility.
• Partner with hiring managers to scope roles and calibrate expectations.
• Proactively source passive candidates and influence hiring decisions.
• Coach managers on interviewing and decision-making.
