Job summary

Battelle is seeking a Senior Training and Development Specialist to lead training delivery and curriculum development for a DHS program in the greater Washington, DC area. The role requires deep expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and test & evaluation principles with a DHS clearance.

The position involves updating the T&E curriculum, developing course materials, and delivering instruction to DHS personnel both at facilities and remotely.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• DHS T&E Level 3, DAWIA T&E Practitioner Level 2/3, or CTEP certification.
• Expertise in adult learning principles and development of interactive web-based and classroom training.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional T&E instruction for DHS courses in person or virtually using adult learning concepts.
• Review and update the formal T&E curriculum and create content aligned with DHS directives.
• Provide SME support in adult learning and development of training materials.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure content supports program planning and mission execution.
• Support system-level analysis related to training content and DHS mission.
