Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a multidisciplinary R&D Systems Security Engineer for the Nuclear Enterprise Assurance program, to lead secure product realization for high-consequence national security systems. The role requires designing, developing, and sustaining security, trustworthiness, and assurance across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 5+ years directly relevant experience.
• Active DOE Q-level security clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop, tailor, and implement Systems Security Engineering processes informed by NIST SP 800-160 v1r1.
• Lead comprehensive subversion risk assessments including threat modeling and system-level risk evaluations.
• Identify, document, and mitigate subversion risks using multidisciplinary information.
• Define and flow security requirements into hardware, firmware, software, and production architectures; develop verification and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain security assurance documentation and evidence packages.
• Provide technical leadership in model-based systems engineering and security modeling; present assessments to stakeholders.
