Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a multidisciplinary R&D Systems Security Engineer to lead secure product realization for high-consequence national security systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q-Level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, tailor, and implement Systems Security Engineering and Nuclear Enterprise Assurance processes informed by NIST SP 800-160 v1r1, ensuring security and assurance objectives are defined and verified throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead, coordinate, and document subversion risk assessments, including threat modeling and system-level risk evaluations to inform architecture and design decisions.
• Define and flow system and subsystem security requirements into hardware, firmware, and software architectures; develop verification methods and acceptance criteria.
• Develop, review, and maintain security assurance documentation and evidence packages demonstrating requirement satisfaction and risk mitigation.
