Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Senior Systems Safety Engineer to join the Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will guide system safety across avionics and electric power domains, performing FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs and FTAs, and influence design decisions with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes rigorous safety engineering, collaboration with customers and stakeholders, and building safe, reliable aerospace systems for modern aviation.

Qualifikationen

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience in aircraft systems (avionics, electric power, etc.) or reliability, safety engineering.

Aufgaben

• Perform civil safety assessment process in accordance with ARP4761 (FHAs, PSSAs, SSAs, FTAs, CMAs).
• Support systems, hardware, and software engineering teams in defining safety requirements.
• Review design and development documentation for safety critical equipment.
• Be an apprentice under group's Technical Lead and collaborate with customers and stakeholders.
