Job summary

Voyager Technologies invites applications for a Systems Engineer - Project Engineer V to guide high‑complexity defense programs. You will provide technical direction across engineering disciplines, align design with mission requirements, and represent engineering leadership at the enterprise level.

Responsibilities include leading multi‑phase programs, guiding architecture and verification, and coordinating with DoD customers and executive management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 10 years of project engineering experience, or a Master’s with 8 years, or 14 years experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Proven leadership of large DoD/MDA programs and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as chief project engineer or senior technical lead for large defense programs.
• Define system architecture, integration and verification strategies.
• Oversee IPTs and major subs, ensuring cost/schedule compliance.
• Lead baseline definition, configuration management and integration planning.
• Chair design reviews and maintain readiness to meet performance metrics.
• Interface with DoD customers and executives on program status.
• Manage SOWs, contractor deliverables and major inputs.
• Develop risk management frameworks across programs.
• Mentor engineers and support proposals and cost estimation.
• Enforce systems engineering standards and MBSE practices.
