Job summary

Apollo Professional Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Support Engineer to service Roche instruments and connected systems at the Pleasanton, CA campus, with occasional travel to Santa Clara. This role focuses on instrument maintenance, IOQs, and networking support.

You will work with Fortigate firewalls, IP mapping, and troubleshooting to ensure secure, reliable operation of lab instruments and IT infrastructure in R&D and clinical settings. Competitive hourly contractor benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years servicing medical/lab equipment and/or networked systems.
• Experience with IP addressing, VLANs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Direct experience configuring Fortigate firewall/network security appliances.
• Associate/Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, CS, IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and IOQs on Roche instruments.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace instrument components.
• Install/deinstall/relocate instruments and control units.
• Configure system and application software.
• Map IP addresses and manage network equipment for lab instruments.
• Document service activities in the appropriate database.
• Coordinate onsite/remote service requests and communicate status.
