Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Degree and/or experience may be interchangeable on a year‑for‑year basis.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix server administration and security practices.
• Experience with server maintenance, OS/app updates, backups, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and monitor server‑related hardware across multiple systems and virtual environments.
• Coordinate OS and application upgrades, backups, and repository servers.
• Install and update application software on servers and databases.
• Manage internal/external users, security, and access control.
• Maintain networks and security in coordination with IT staff.
• Provide programming/troubleshooting support and staff training for custom apps.
• Contribute to projects to optimize, standardize, and document systems design.
