Job summary

Quantum-Si seeks a Senior Systems Integration Scientist to drive integration, characterization, and troubleshooting for Proteus, our next‑generation single‑molecule protein sequencing platform. You will investigate performance issues across samples, reagents, surface chemistry, consumables, fluidics, instrumentation, and sequencing workflows, using hands‑on experimentation, DOE, and rigorous data analysis.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 3–5 years industry experience or M.S./B.S. with substantial equivalent experience.
• Strong foundation in protein chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, surface chemistry, or related fields.
• Lead structured root-cause investigations and design controlled experiments.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute system-level studies to identify critical parameters and variability across samples, reagents, surfaces, and workflows.
• Characterize surface chemistry and materials interactions; translate findings into product improvements.
• Develop protocols, controls, and troubleshooting workflows for rigorous investigations and defensible conclusions.
• Lead cross-functional investigations and communicate findings to stakeholders and leadership.
• Design V&V, robustness, and reliability studies to meet system requirements.
