Job summary

Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a Senior Systems Software & Integration Engineer to lead the design, testing, deployment, and integration of information systems. The role requires ERP expertise (Ellucian Banner preferred), a strong Unix/Linux background, and hands-on database scripting abilities.

You will supervise projects, liaise with vendors, and help ensure system security and reliability across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
• Five+ years experience in design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and support of information systems in an ERP environment (Ellucian Banner preferred).
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and other DBMS (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Unix/Linux in large-scale, high-transaction production environments.
• Ability to write and debug scripts (Perl, PHP, Bash).
• Ability to manage small projects from start to finish.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and coordinates information system procedures for integrity.
• Leads design and coordinates with programmers on software integrations.
• Test, deploy, and maintain software and database applications.
• Acts as a system analyst to define user needs and solutions.
• Coordinate with staff to troubleshoot applications and databases.
• Manage moderately complex projects end-to-end.
