VT Group (VTG) seeks a seasoned Systems Engineer to support the sponsors engineering branch. The role requires Tier II/III experience across Windows and Linux environments, scripting, and automation to manage a bespoke network.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years supporting mission networks.
• Minimum of 7+ years of Windows environments administration (Active Directory) and group policy.
• Experience troubleshooting domain connectivity and performance issues.
• Experience with SolarWinds Orion monitoring tool.
• PowerShell, Ansible or Terraform/Packer for automation and deployment of Windows resources.
• WSUS knowledge across disconnected enclave environments.
• Significant VMware experience (vSphere, VSAN, Horizon View).
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills for a small team and partners.
• Self-starter with ownership and ability to adapt in fast-moving environments.
• MCSE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and provide solutions to technical problems of varying complexity.
• Maintain and upgrade Windows Server 2022+ and Windows 11 environments.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and IIS configurations.
• Automate deployment and configuration using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform/Packer.
• Design, implement domain policies and hardening procedures for core infrastructure.
• Ensure performance, access controls, and installation/maintenance of Windows technologies.
• Perform Tier III troubleshooting of servers, workstations, and network connectivity.
• MaintainDocumentation of relevant technologies.
• Provide end-user support and escalate as needed (Tier I).
• Communicate issues and resolutions effectively to all levels of the organization.
