VT Group (VTG) seeks a motivated Software Engineer to support design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of complex software systems in a mission-critical environment. The role emphasizes Linux-based development, collaboration with technical teams, and building reliable, scalable software solutions.

US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or 4 years of related experience) is expected.

Formación

• Requires Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent software experience.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and lifecycle.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications per requirements.
• Analyze requirements to determine design and performance objectives.
• Develop new applications or modify code to add features.
• Debug and resolve defects to improve performance.
• Integrate components into systems and environments.
• Develop and execute tests to validate functionality and compliance.
• Review components and document test results.
• Develop basic database queries to retrieve and analyze data.
• Support Linux-based development environments.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across the lifecycle.
• Participate in design discussions on architecture and reuse.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage COTS/GOTS technologies.
• Maintain technical docs and propose process improvements.
