VT Group (VTG) is seeking a Systems Engineer to serve as a technical authority across networking, compute, storage, OS, middleware, databases, and applications. You will analyze environments, design and implement modernization initiatives, and resolve complex cross-stack challenges.

Strong communication and leadership skills are essential as you brief leadership and collaborate with multiple teams. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree required with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on systems engineering across networking, compute, storage, OS, middleware, databases, and applications.
• Experience creating detailed engineering designs for modernization and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on systems engineering across network, compute, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, and applications.
• Analyze and document current-state infrastructure, platform, and application architectures.
• Develop detailed engineering designs for modernization, optimization, and transformation initiatives with System and Cloud Architects.
• Lead and execute cloud and system implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
• Ensure systems meet requirements for availability, scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Integrate infrastructure and platform environments with DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, cross-stack issues spanning infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
• Serve as a technical authority and guide investigations and resolutions.
• Collaborate across engineering teams and stakeholders to address complete system issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standards.
