AeroVironment is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to collaborate with the Design team on unmanned systems for defense and commercial use.

You will interact across controls and other engineering disciplines to define requirements, build architectures, and guide simulation, prototyping, validation, and verification activities. The role requires strong C/C++, Matlab, MBSE experience and the ability to lead requirements tracing, model development, and complex technical analysis in a fast-paced

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 8 - 12 years of experience in a systems engineering role (Aerospace systems engineering preferred).
• Proficiency with C/C++ and Matlab required.

Aufgaben

• Manage requirements traceability and evolution through the system development cycle.
• Provide weekly status of system development progress with requirements burn down.
• Allocate requirements to subsystem & engineering coordination.
• Evaluate system performance thresholds and providing direction.
• Work with Senior Staff Engineers in developing instrumented flight test vectors and data acquisition.
