Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned systems administrator to support the U.S. Air Force and Foreign Military Sales Global Hawk program. You will manage Unix/Linux environments, perform troubleshooting, and work with engineers to design reliable data processing systems for fielded software.

This role requires a 5+ year track record, active SECRET clearance, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to deploy CONUS/OCONUS.

Qualifications

5 years' experience as a system administrator or development/support in Unix environments (Linux, Solaris, Irix).
Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.
Active and transferable U.S. government-issued SECRET clearance required; U.S. citizenship.
Short-term assignments to CONUS and OCONUS locations for operational support.
Experience with ATM LANs, RF links, VOIP, and data communications preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide backfill shelter support to the U.S. Air Force and FMS Global Hawk program as needed.
Coordinate with customer and plant engineers to resolve issues.
Interface with customers regarding technical, operational, mission-related, and deployment requirements.
Analyze system performance against technical requirements and implement improvements.
Troubleshoot industry-standard IT systems and program-specific hardware and software.
