Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to transform technology into opportunity within the National Capital Region. You will manage VMware infrastructure and Windows/Linux servers, ensure security compliance, and support enterprise data centers.

Position requires active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, DoD 8570.01-M IA Technical II, and 8+ years of related experience. The role will relocate to a site in the NCR in Summer 2026 and is on-site.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 8 years of related experience required.
• Hands-on engineering with VMware, Windows and Linux servers, storage and networking advantageous.
• DoD 8570.01-M IA Technical II level certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and applies advanced engineering and design methods to complex system requirements and interfaces.
• Operate and sustain VMware infrastructure including vSphere and vCenter product releases.
• Manage and administer physical and virtual servers, primarily Windows and Linux.
• Support and management of server virtualization, provisioning, physical server maintenance, security compliance and daily operations.
• Maintain the virtualized server environment and monitor health, performance and utilization.
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components and OS enhancements.
