Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to advance enterprise IT operations. You will plan, upgrade, and troubleshoot complex VMware environments, manage Windows/Linux servers, and ensure STIG compliance across platforms.

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience, TS/SCI with CI Poly, Security+ and 8570 compliance, and US citizenship. The role prioritizes automation, scripting, and leadership of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to write scripts using PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Experience managing VMware, Nutanix, and other types of enterprise level Virtual Infrastructures.
• Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Security + Certified; Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred)
• US Citizenship Required
• TS/SCI with CI Poly

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, and implements infrastructure changes and system upgrades.
• Manages and troubleshoots multiple VMware environments.
• Provides Windows Server and Linux administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Creates STIG compliant images for Windows Desktop, Windows Server, and Linux OS.
• Creates, tests, and deploys software packages using software deployment products such as SCCM, PDQ, etc.
• Provides expert level support and mentoring for Mid and Junior Systems Administrator personnel.
• Develops and maintains installation and configuration procedures for system and software changes.
• Utilizes scripting to automate common tasks.
• Performs hardware maintenance/repair activities.
• Ensures proper planning and execution of major projects/maintenance activities.
• Provides advanced level administration and troubleshooting of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controllers.
