Job summary

Peraton is seeking a senior Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to lead network and cloud-operations efforts on critical national security programs in Wisconsin. The role requires extensive experience across systems and network engineering, plus DoD 8570/8140 certification and a CISSP preference.

You will review customer requirements, translate them into system specifications, and guide hardware selection and architecture design for scalable, failover-capable networks.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with a current polygraph required.
• 20+ years of Systems Engineering experience on similar programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or related field; 5 additional years may substitute for degree.
• Experience supporting the customer’s Mission Systems.
• Ability to translate requirements and high-level architectures into system requirements specifications.
• Led Systems Engineering efforts and projects.
• DoD 8570/8140 certification required, CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and network teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure.
• Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Provide guidance on hardware selection and scalable, efficient solutions.
• Demonstrate expertise across network hardware and interconnections (routers, firewalls, etc.).
• Design and implement failover solutions for major customers.
