Job summary

Peraton is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to join a national intelligence program in Huntsville. The role focuses on cloud computing, server deployments, and maintaining IT systems to meet mission needs.

You will manage physical, virtual, and cloud platforms and collaborate across teams to ensure secure, efficient operations. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with poly, DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II certifications (CISSP or Security+), and 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a polygraph.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; PhD not required.
• Current DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II: CISSP or Security+ certification.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and provisioning of physical/virtual platforms and operating systems.
• Deploy, operate and maintain cloud computing services within the service lane portion.
• Maintain infrastructure devices and cloud-based server services per procedures and policies.
• Oversee Hosted Server Compute (HSC) solutions across virtual, physical, and cloud environments.
• Integrate, operate and maintain Cloud service areas and Server service areas.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and incidents.
• Provide documentation like SOPs and system plans.
